November 27, 2018

Today’s menu was fried cod or ham steaks with vegetable medley. Brad Mettam was out of
Town so Carly Robbins was leading the meeting.  Will Kay led us in the flag salute.  Jay Reed gave the invocation.   Carly announced that December was Foundation Month.  S
pecial Announcement:  December 17 The Rotary Meeting will be held on location at The Recology Center in Samoa. RSVPs are required if you want lunch.  Assemblyman Jim Woods will be there.

Also a reminder that the club will be dark on 12/24 and 1/1/19.  Gregg Gardiner put in a word for Toys For Tots.  They are also collecting for Fire victims.

Our presenter was Scott Pesch who works for Pacific Partners Property Management.  He reported on the state of property management in 2018.  Warehouse space has increased in value due to the marijuana business.  Total real estate sales were 582,840,545.  79% of that was residential, 6% multi-family (apartments) 7 % land and 8% commercial.  He said sales have doubled in the last five years.  Ever wonder what a “triple net lease” is? Rent + property taxes + insurance.  All of you who knew that raise your mouses.
