Lunch consisted of spare ribs or chicken chunks in sauce, salad bar and cookies.

Mike Cunningham gave the invocation.  He asked everyone to pray that we don’t all get blown up. There were a few recognitions. Pat Folkins’ granddaughter graduated from HSU and cost him $100.  George Owren’s grandson is a star on the EHS football team.  That cost him 50.  President Bruce had a picture of Nancy Dean hiking so that cost her money. Matthew Owen was complimented by Bruce for cleaning up Old Town in advance of the impending cruise ship arrival. Carly Robbins said that they needed packers for the Backpacks for Kids and that there would be a fundraiser on June 2. This Friday Bruce Smith’s last social gathering will be held at 5:15 in the bar at the Ingomar club.  He’ll buy the first drink.  Matt Morris needs help to deliver gift Dictionaries for third graders sometime in the next few weeks.  The club presented a check for $15,000 to the Redwood Coast Montessori school to fix up the Manila Community Center field.  Our presenter was Larry Oetker, Director of Humboldt Bay Harbor and Recreation District.  They need to dredge 130,000 cubic feet of silt from the Woodley island channel.  They need to get a permit first.  Also they need a wastewater treatment plant in Samoa before they can do further development in that area.  Finally, they need a dock for mooring barges that will take floating windmills out into the ocean.  For more information give him a call.
